DANVILLE, Pa. – Christopher Lee Cummings, M.D., has joined Geisinger Medical Center as a vascular neurologist.
Prior to joining Geisinger, Dr. Cummings most recently served as a vascular neurologist at the Stroke Center at West Virginia University, as well as an assistant professor of neurology at the West Virginia University School of Medicine, both in Morgantown, since 2011.
Dr. Cummings earned his medical degree in 2006 from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York City. He pursued a neurology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, which he completed in 2010. Dr. Cummings then completed a vascular neurology fellowship in 2011 at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Board certified in neurology, Dr. Cummings has been heavily involved in various teaching opportunities and research studies, as well as attending conferences and giving numerous presentations. He is currently a member of the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology, the American Heart/Stroke Association, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Neurology and Alpha Chi Sigma, a professional chemistry fraternity.
