DANVILLE, Pa. – In observance of Prematurity Awareness Month, the Pennsylvania Chapter of the March of Dimes will present a plaque of appreciation to the Department of Neonatology at Geisinger Health System on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 1:15 p.m. in front of the Geisinger Medical Center neonatal intensive care unit.
The March of Dimes is recognizing the commitment of the Department of Neonatology to the health and well-being of premature and sick babies. A reception will follow the presentation.
The plaque will be presented by Dolores Smith, state director of program services for the March of Dimes to James A. Cook, M.D., F.A.A.P., director of Neonatology , Geisinger Health System, and Maureen Lloyd, R.N., M.S.N., R.N.C., inpatient nursing operations manager, GMC NICU.
