DANVILLE, Pa. – Lynn Libby RN, BS, NE-BC, program director for Geisinger Health System’s Central Pennsylvania Health Care Quality Unit (HCQU), was appointed to the board of directors of the Arc of Susquehanna, a national organization that is devoted to promoting and improving support and services for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families.

Geisinger’s Central Pennsylvania HCQU works in conjunction with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health programs in 13 central Pennsylvania counties to provide health care management services for persons with developmental disabilities.

Under Libby’s leadership, the HCQU sponsored a semi-annual nurses training day on May 9 at Shiloh United Church of Christ in Danville. Sixty-three attendees earned free continuing education units while learning about the impact of practical implications of genetic diagnoses for people with intellectual disabilities.
