DANVILLE, Pa. — Timothy McCloskey, DO, has been re-elected to the board of trustees of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association (POMA), a statewide organization for physicians holding the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
Dr. McCloskey joined Geisinger in 2006 with the department of pediatric allergy and immunology at Geisinger Medical Center (GMC). He will serve as chairman of POMA’s District 6, as well as a delegate to POMA and the American Osteopathic Association at both the state and national level.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to serve with the association that is representative of over 7,000 physicians in the state,” Dr. McCloskey said. “POMA provides a great opportunity for networking, discussion and investigation of recent developments.”
Board certified in pediatrics and allergy/clinical immunology, Dr. McCloskey is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Pennsylvania Allergy and Asthma Association, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Pediatric Society and the Irish American Pediatric Society.
